
The Centre for Crystallographic Studies (CCS) was formally established in January 1994 as a result of a grant to Professor Sine Larsen from the Danish National Research Foundation of 25 mill Dkr. for the five year period 1994-1999. The grant was given to promote new research activities in studies of relations between structure and function of proteins. In 1999 the Centre recieved a new grant to Professor Sine Larsen from the Danish National Research Foundation of 30 mill Dkr. for the five year period 1999-2004. From 1.st of January 2004 the Centre for Crystallographic Studies is partly supported by a framework grant from the Danish Natural Science Research Council to Leila Lo Leggio, Sine Larsen and Eva Johansson. From 1. January 2005, the Centre of Crystallographic Studies is part of the Biophysical Chemistry Group
